Lampshades
More shades than anybody in the Southeast — thousands in stock, in every shape, size and material we could find room for.
If you've tried to buy a shade online and it came back wrong, you're in good company. That's most of the people who walk in here.
We're experts at fitting a lamp with the perfect lampshade. Bring your lamp.

Bring your lamp
Buying a shade without your lamp is like buying a hat without your head.
A lot of people walk in with measurements, certain their lamp needs one exact size. It almost never does. Most lamps will take many different sizes and shapes of shade — the lamp is more flexible than the measurements are. The only way to know which one looks right is to set the shade on the lamp and look at it. That's why we always ask you to bring the lamp.
The best way to get it right, in order:
1. Bring the lamp. We'll try shades on it until it looks right.
2. Bring the old shade. It tells us the size, the fitter and what you're used to.
3. Bring measurements. We'll do our best — but nine times out of ten, when the lamp doesn't come in, the shade comes back.
One-week returns on in-store shade purchases. Want to try it at home? Leave the plastic on and you've got a week to bring it back.
2
Where will the lamp live?
The spot decides the shade. On a bedside table, an oval or rectangle shade takes up far less room than a round one and lets you push the lamp back against the wall. A reading lamp wants a shade that throws light down. A lamp in the middle of a room wants one that looks good from every side. Tell us where it's going and we'll steer you right.

Shapes, materials and styles
Shapes: empire, bell, cone, drum, square, rectangle, oval, hexagon, scallop, coolie, floor-lamp shades, chandelier and clip-on mini shades, uno shades, torchiere glass.
Materials and styles: silk, linen, burlap, bamboo, mica, parchment, paper, pleated, hardback and softback, pierced tin — rustic, cabin and lodge, traditional and modern.
Made in America. About 70% of our lampshades are made right here in the USA.
Special orders. If we don't have it, we can almost always order a custom shade in the size, shape and fabric you need.

Harps and finials
Every harp size, down to the half inch. And more finials than anybody around — brass, crystal, wood, stone, figural — the small thing that finishes a lamp. Harps and finials are sized to the lamp, so bring it in.
